A New Year—means meeting New people, trying New foods, playing New games, doing a New budget, going to New restaurants, hopefully getting a New phone (I am so done with Sprint)…laughing at New jokes, writing New blogs, saying New things, hearing New songs, New joy, New peace, New freedom…

This is the Year for New Things!  Sure, last year I skydived, wakeboarded, kneeboarded, learned to swim, got a diploma in the Art of Cooking all for the first time—but THIS Year!!! This Year is the year for Newness—New thoughts, New ideas, New messages, New revelations, New itineraries, New schedules, New plans, New disciplines, New concepts, New things!!!  What will I do this year that I have never done before?  I have no idea but I am starting to plan my list and let God direct my steps.

I had no idea last year would be as full of adventure as it was but I am anticipating different things for this 2010.  Twenty-Ten will only happen once.  This is it!  365 days of 2010 and we all get one shot—One shot to make it memorable, exciting, interesting and a year we will never forget!

This year will be a year we will look back on and say, “Remember 2010, remember all the things we did,  remember all the things that happened, remember!  Oh, what a year!  What a year that was!”

Just you wait.  On December 31, 2010, we will look back and we will be smiling.  🙂

Isaiah 43:19 (The Message)

16-21This is what God says,
the God who builds a road right through the ocean,
who carves a path through pounding waves,
The God who summons horses and chariots and armies—
they lie down and then can’t get up;
they’re snuffed out like so many candles:
“Forget about what’s happened;
don’t keep going over old history.
Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new.
It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it?
There it is! I’m making a road through the desert,
rivers in the badlands.
Wild animals will say ‘Thank you!’
—the coyotes and the buzzards—
Because I provided water in the desert,
rivers through the sun-baked earth,
Drinking water for the people I chose,
the people I made especially for myself,
a people custom-made to praise me.
